Overview
Cornett, Lexington’s largest ad agency, is looking for a web development intern to join the team part-time for the fall or spring semester. The ideal candidate knows HTML & CSS and has a desire to learn more through hands on experience. They may be self-taught, completed a web development bootcamp or be an undergraduate student in a related field.
The selected candidate needs to be local to Kentucky and available to work in office several days per week or as requested.
● Experience with HTML & CSS required
● Experience with other programming languages (such as JavaScript, PHP, Phython, etc) a plus
● Experience in a content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal is a plus
● Good at figuring out challenges
What you will do?
● HTML & CSS Markup
● Building site enhancements via JavaScript
● Working with APIs
● Modifying existing code bases
● Update content on sites
● Performs cross-platform testing
● Maintain code in a version control platform such as GIT
● Other tasks as assigned by Digital Producer and Director of Interactive Strategy.
● Stay current on web dev-related trends
● Someone who is a quick learner and a self-starter will be successful in this role
