Together with nearly a dozen other independent ad agencies across the country, we’re proud to introduce BLAC, an internship community with the mission to bring more Black people into advertising further prepared to thrive and lead.
For far too long, our agency and industry has lacked equitable influence of Black voices and creativity. This is one effort that we’re taking alongside other leading small agencies to make real and lasting change, while creating more representative and powerful work.
Candidates will get real-world creative experience working on brand assignments from Procter & Gamble, as well as learning other critical skills from salary negotiation to pitching an idea.
Participating agencies include Walrus and Noble People in New York; Planet Propaganda and O’Keefe Reinhard & Paul in the Midwest; Barrett San Francisco and DNA on the West Coast; and CORNETT, Humanaut, Preacher and St. John in the South.
We’re now accepting applicants for the first summer internship, an eight-week, pair remote internship for four interns at each participating agency. Our collective plan is to double the breadth and impact of the program every year.
We can’t wait to see how this can reshape our agency and our industry in powerful ways.
