Assistant Media Planner/Buyer
An ASSISTANT MEDIA PLANNER/BUYER participates in all aspects of the media buying/planning process for their assigned media type (digital or traditional). A strong level of organizational skills and analytical thinking would be key for day-to-day initiatives. As a part of an integrated media team (and agency) this person would be primarily responsible for the execution of media buys through placing media with vendors.
The ideal candidate should have:
- 1-2 years related experience
- Strong understanding of different marketing communication mediums
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Knowledge in all Microsoft programs
- The ability to multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- The ability to think creatively & analytically
- A passion for marketing strategy

What will you do?
- Format documents such as media plan flowcharts and reports
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on all media initiatives
- Help develop media reporting documents
- Reconcile invoices
- Gather research for internal and external use
- Assist in management of media budgets
- Work closely with account planning and creative teams
- Provide status reports on all running campaigns on a weekly/bi-weekly basis
- Create and send RFPs to vendors
- Assist in rate negotiations and vendor communications
- Compile specifications for production team
- Compile media kits and other assets from potential media vendors
- Maintain communication of performance and pacing with Media Planner/Buyer
For Digital Focus:
- Traffic and set up ads for digital media
- Optimize digital ads
